Electromagnetic Induction

Sir, please help me clear this query of mine. When we say that there is an inductor of inductance 'L', is it supposed to mean the inductance of the inductor at a particular instant is 'L' or does it mean that it is the value of its maximum inductance at a time when the current in it is maximum (at its peak point if alternating) ?

Inductance of any arrangement in particular is a constant thing which only depends on the geometry of that arrangement. It NO WAY depends upon the value of current at all. Actually the back emf generated across an inductor is depends on the rate of change of current.
