The magnetic field existing in a region is given by B=B0(1+x/l)k→.A square loop of edge l and carrying a current i,is placed with it's edges parallel to the x-y axes.Find the magnitude of the net magnetic force experienced by the loop.

Since the magnetic field does not change along the y-axis, the two edges parallel to the x-axis will expeience the same magnitude of force opposite to each other in direction. hence they will cancel each other. the force on the loop will then only depend on the two edges parallel to y-axis.
