Consider the Setup Shown, If the L - Shaped object is deflected slightly it oscillates. Find he frequency of the same.

on slightly deflecting it by an angle of \theta the net torque about the C.O.m of the system = \frac{2mg.sin\theta.l }{\sqrt{2}} and as \theta is sufficiently small so sin\theta \approx \theta
and on equating this torque to I.\alpha we get \alpha = (\frac{3g}{l.\sqrt{2}}).\theta which is the equation of an SHM.
\Rightarrow \omega = \sqrt{\frac{3g}{\sqrt{2}.l}}
\Rightarrow \boxed{\textsl{f} = \frac{1}{2\Pi }.\sqrt{\frac{3g}{\sqrt{2}.l}}}.
