A block of mass 4kg of height h and breadth b is placed on rough plank of same mass M.A light inextensible string is connected to upper end of block and passed through a light smooth pulley.A mass 1kg is hung to other end of string.
What is min value of μ b/w block and plank so that there is no slipping b/w block and plank.
Find min value of b/h ratio so that block does not topple over plank
(Friction absent b/w plank and ground)

d torque due to mg +due to T > torque due to friction

Hint:

1) You have to consider the maximum torque that normal reaction can give...

2) Total torque that the tension and frictional force will apply!
