A bomb is droped from a plane flying horizontally with uniform speed. Show that the bomb will explode vetically below the plane.

will this be true if the plane flies with uniform speed but not horizentally?

yes. The bomb will explode vertically below the plane. No doubt. This is because the horizontal component of the velocity of both the bomb and the plane experience no acceleration. So they will both be traveling in the same speed horizontally. So the bomb will always explode in the same line as the plane.

In both the cases. You could prove it mathematically as well. It is not very tough. But still this explanation is good enough.

will there be no air resistance etc?
I think this is not the correct answer!

This is the right answer friend. We have ignored air resistance.

Do you remember solving any problem of kinematics where you had considered air resistance unless you have been specifically asked to?!
