A solid sphere is rolling without slipping on the rough ground .it collides elastically with an identical sphere at rest.there is no friction between the two spheres .radius of each sphere is R amd mass is m.

hmm.. naman.. this is not a veyr easy question. Not to say that it is difficult. It is very simple if u try and follow some of the most basic principles..

Could i see some of ur steps.. What that will help is to let us analyse ur mistake and flaw in approach..

I hpe u get my point?

after collision first sphere will only have ω......after this i don't lnow what to do.

first sphere will have only ang vel in the same direction as initial since thr is no friction... then.... think...

Friction will apply negative torque on the 1st sphere so its ω will decrease.
At the same time Friction will apply force on the 1st sphere to increase its velocity.

This will happen untill V becomes equal to ωR.

Just some calculations. I think you should be able to get the answer.
