could you explain the situtation slightly better.
You are saying that the distance of the charge from the center is given by a, b and c respectively
The shell is metallic.
So we have to find the potential due to the charge.. Isnt it?
At all these three points?
Now one thing that I am not clear about is.. Is the charge q on the shell a point charge or a charge put on the surface so that it has the chance to redistribute?
The answer/ solvability of the question will depend on that..
