Not a clear idea though, am searching fr it......just thought tht since the radius ratios are not exactly 0.414, the complete structure expands a bit...
Got it....Not at all related to my above reasoning in any way though [3]
It means tht it is like the Na+ ions form a separate fcc & Cl- form a separate fcc lattice, which are then kind of merged, n the 2 lattices seem to penetrate.

NaCl, CsCl, ZnS have 2 interpenetrating lattices, whereas there are 3 in the fluorite structure.
