The rules for using Internet facilities in the hostels have been changed
by the Senate. Internet will be shutdown from 1.00 am to 5.00 am every day for all users. First year students are not permitted to use Internet facilities in the hostel during the first semester.

i disagreee !!!! let it b a free environment ! if sum1 cares too much abt studying newys they r not gonna use net 4 this stuff ..

net has advantages that r unparalleled !!! see the bright side !
if u wanna think out of the box, engender the gr8 idea n bring it out of the institute in2 a successful business u cant have such stupid rules n limitations !

think of microsoft, google, apple, sun microsystems, bell labs, McKinsey n hundreds of such others n v realize just where IITs r missing d trick !

open 2 arguments ! plzz post !

nihit we r talking abt use of internet late night for gaming and trash purposes , researchers will be sleeping that time anyway so its a very gud decision of iit to put rules as in #3

saw the iitb techfest site ?

it has call of duty , counter strike and other high end games in d competitions
compare it with shashtra ull certainly see a difference !
