1according to last years opening closing rnks at nit surathkal....u can get IT branch(after the fifth allotment )..closing rank was 9485... which is considerd 2 b gud....i think u shud wait and see if u r gettng a gud brnch in NIT bf4 choosing daiict....i hav heard chemical engg in a gud NIT isnt a bad choice also...
