I agree with you mentor Niti( Though I am in class X)

in my view, as it has been in the last few years it will be unpredictable as far as pattern is concerned, but aspirants should practice different type of question paper patterns, to be honest what will matter the most in the end is how strong your basics are, if you have a strong foundation and a good amount of practice coupled with self confidence, then you can tackle any question paper pattern you get.

IITJEE has become like CAT, it has become more and more unpredictable in the last 4 years.
you cannot even expect that important topics will be alloted more marks and the less important ones will be allotted less, because the paper setters love to surprise the students by giving unusually high weightage less important parts also.......

jee always gives surprises...

i am expecting a tougher matrix this time with 3 columns....recently saw it in a a paper..
assertion/reason will surely return..and integer ques will stay..but yes they will be reduced..unlike 8 ques...there will be 4 as seen in BT tests...

but what i really want is more than one correct questions to go......or atleast if they are to stay..tehn options shouldnt be ambiguous........unlike all these years,,,,it really kills the hard work of 3-4 mins...if any option goes wrong

they can introduce some new things in chem...like balancing eqns....and dont think it to be easy...eqns in inorganic chem are damn tuff to balance...

and comprehensions is one thing i am always frustrated with....comprehensions should be like english paper...so that everyhting is from within the passage...nthing else to be used other than passage...its gr88 that way...they may introduce some higher topics but atleast ask ques stricitly from passage...and not deviate..[1]

regarding chapters....its very tuff to predict...though last yr my guesses were bang on target...

guesses can go on....but its always going to be bigger than expected.....so lets just study and work hard[1]

matrix match needs hard work to get only one mark per question although they are equivalent to the 4-marks questions.........they are damn silly.

what i am hoping is that the paper has 50 % marks on integer type answers..they are damn scoring areas....i hate those silly matrix questions, which just aim at taking away marks from us !

i feel physics will become a bit tough as compared to 2009 ,

Paper may be have some changes ..but likely as in 2009
so don't be bothered about that !!!

in 2009 ,there was approximately 10000 seats total,
out of them approximately 6000 for GE and rest for OBC ,SC and ST .

I feel that JEE 2010 can be full of subjectives with 0 -9 options, and no objectives.
Also i feel that IIT madras will ask more conceptual questions rather than factual ones ...

Does anyone know approximately how many seats are there leaving out Reserved Categories ????

well it doesnt matter ki kya pattern ho ga.....whether be it integer type or not.....it wont help discussing here.....

if u wanna discuss ......discuss topics of which der r more chances of comming in jee....that thing can help......

yeah i too feel that integer type questions will be stressed more than the objective ones, bcz that is a better way for IITs for selecting 5000 top students out of 8,00,000 rather than objectives
coz many ppl even get mrks in objectives via matka

lol how can u say tat buddy...once introduced can't be removed from the pattern...

koi law hai kya......lol

Integer -type quests. once introduced can't be removed from the pattern.

in phy one comprehension on mechanics and heat and thermo pacca....

in maths one comprehension on calc....not much cordinate(bec this time had lot of cordinate)

and i guess one comprehension on PC also

in chem as usual good amount of organic

and wat i feel is der wont be any subcjective type Q's lik tat were in 2009....tats my gut feeling

like wat light said.....most likely to be tat of 2008 patter

Don't anticipate much. Had I been in your place I'd have been prepared to tackle all possible phases of difficulties. and what i can understand now is that psychological factors play more part in the test rather than Knowledge....a calm mind works faster here not a nervous one. That's all I can say.
