ok

Normal A1 = w2R

Tangential A2 = βR

w=βT Kinematics
Therefore

β2T2*R = Rβ
T2=1/β
T = √(1/β)

both options a and b are correct in q.1, coz displacement can be equal to distance but never greator than it

Abhishek Priyam ·

No!!

for Q.1 distance≥| displacement | thats why d...

How can u compare scalar and vector.. :P

if it would have been multiple correct then also not a or b... but d

62
Lokesh Verma ·

@kriti..

It can be either a or b but we cant say for sure it will be a or it will be b

so priyam's explanation is correct

answer should be d!

@virang & others

Again phas gaye[3][3]

see question again i asked when will tangential and normal acch will be equal (i.e. i talked about the vectors not their magnitude

ab batao is it ever possible for a particle in circular motion(as tangential aach vector and normal aach vectors are always perpendicular toeach other

so the ans is never

@ADITYA HAD IT BEEN SINGLE CHOICE UR ANS IS CORRECT
BUT IN CASE OF M.C.Q IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A,C

I hope a straight lines has no bends........once started u cannot come back.........so DISTANCE=DISPLACEMENT.............
ans A

1
palani ............... ·

akand

y cannot come back

particle can retrace the same path
eg:
ball thrown vertically upward

1
Akand ·

ya palani..........sorry dint think tht way...............
so ANSWER CANNOT be A...........its obviously B then..........hey wait........it can be both A and B...........but since only one option is rite.........ANSWER IS D.........

11
Mani Pal Singh ·

yaar yeh to koi logic nahin hua[7][2]

1
Aditya ·

Answer should be d coz dist will b equal to displacement when the body just moves frm 1 pt to another in straight line but dist will b greater when it again comes back.......in the question it's only given dat it's a st line motion, so ans shud be d.

i am waiting for every one to answer

@subhash try out the subjective problem also

gsns gannavarapu ·

@manipal...how would it b C??

eureka123 ·

Q1
If single choice then d
If multiple answer then a,b (as pointed out by many users above me)
\left|displacement \right|\leq distance
