I think becoz the com will be shifted cause the water is flowing out so it will decrease

FIRSTLY..WHEN THE WATER LEAKS ,,CENTRE OF MASS SHIFTS DOWNWARDS...(SINCE CENTRE OF MASS MOVES TO THAT PLACE WHERE THER IS GRTER MASS)
THER4 LENGTH INCRSES (SINCE LENGTH IS FRM TOP TO THE CENTRE OF MASS OF SPHERE).
THER4 TIME PD INCR
WHEN WATER GOES BEYOND WEIGHT OF HOLLOW SPACE OVERCOMES THE WEIGHT OF WATER..
THER4 C.M MOVES UP..TIME PERIOD DECREASES
AT LAST WHEN IT BECOMES EMPTY...C.M COMES TO ITS INITIAL POSITION (SINCE SPHERE IS EMPTY)
THER4 TIME PD COMES 2 ORIGINAL VALUE

yaar the length is from the point it is attached till the centre of mass initially when the water starts moving the centre of mass shifts below geometrical centre [ assuming perfect sphere] so the effective length inc but when the whole water is out the centre of mass shifts back to geom centre so length decreases
