hey i don think that the light is passing through the stomatas..it shuold b pasing throught the gaps in between the leaves......

It's a phenomena occuring due to interference or diffraction (I'm not sure which one)

I remember this as a question on pinhole camera... [1]

Each hole will act as a pinhole..

So the sun's light will form a circular paths..
