Daily Graph 19-01-09 (bonus question!)

x+y=x3+y3

I dont know the solution.. and first look i could not convince myself that i wud be albe to get a solution either ;)

but then that is the fun of all mathematics isnt it ? :)

btw this is a bonus question for the reason mentioned above....

great work eureka... awesome...

i meant complex = big and difficult equation bhaiyya

Lokesh Verma ·

outside a particular range it will be complex..

so in that part there will be no real solution to be plot on the graph..

when D>=0 you will be in a "allowable" zone...

i get a complex equation when i solve

will the two values represent ellipses

62
Lokesh Verma ·

that is an ellipse..

the theory is from cooordinate.. but it is not in syllabus...

It can be done without that theory.. but only by the quadratic method i told above :)

thanx a lot bhaiya :D :)

subash this is not very easy to digest...

See the method could be this..

Think of this as a quadratic... in y..

solve in terms of x... you will get 2 values.. they give you some idea.. :)

is that a circle or wat

very unsure...........

how does that help?

It does help in a way but not too much...

You have found a very good thing rohit.. a good form.. that we can use to understand the result!

(x-y)2=1-y2

i ve been dozing off a little sorry edited that

btw it is not as difficult as i felt when i first made this one.. this is far far simpler than a lot of others that i have given earlier ;)

subhash how did u get the 2 equations? :O

62
Lokesh Verma ·

the simplest..

take whatever can be taken common :)

11
Subash ·

x+y=(x+y)(x2+y2-xy) so x+y=0 or x2+y2=xy+1

RAY ·

x2+y2=xy+1
