HIGHLY DEBATABLE

Reservation to some extent is ok but above 30% and that too seats going vacant in prestigious institutes like IITs is not acceptable.

well celes ,,, then reservation shud be done on the basis of annual income in the family.... not on the basis of caste and tribe as it hapens...

first let the system change,,, then i will vote FOR reservation ..

but for now,,, since in JEE2009 the system wont change ...

so poor that they dun have net facility and all...

u cant even say it is maximum of them...

so reservation shud be done in such a way so that it benefits the ppl who worth it ..

but instead of that . KVPY stuff does help . but one sickening aspect of this thing is that most IITians end up doing an MBA . they don't do justice to the country .as far as I know the govt spends abt a lakh per year per student for their education even after you've paid your fees . in the 70's or 60's I don't know, the fee was 200 Rs. I think ,almost free . so imagine how much the govt spends and one ends up doing and MBA which is totally different . so it's a waste of money . they should atleast have some sense to give back to the nation . if that's fulfilled then it's fine else a waste even if your from GM or reservation . really deserving students should be given a chance . the creamy layer thing is bullshit according to me.

and all this is bcoz of corrupt officials not at the national level . Dr.Manmohan Singh's qualifications are many . he's very good.

it's at the root where we're very bad . state level . we should try to get rid of it. by this I mean every citizen , even we can contribute if possible. anyways long talk . sorry :P

at least we ve privilege and money to enroll in fiitjee test series (10 thousand), classroom programs(1 lakh), brilliant correspondence( 11 thousand )

but there are people who dont even have internet to access atleast a free site like targetiit. they need reservation and now as its money based reservation i agree

sky is correct ! govt thinks reservation wud do but mr arjun singh dun even bother to visit slums and work for upliftment above all i am not sure whether it is cent percent true but arjun singh is even thinking of reservation of alumni of iit i just read that in a daily few days back ! yes physically punished r the real one's to get reservation or else drain of brain for our country is a prophesy and anti reservation a protest !
