i think the particle will strike the wedge when the vel. of particle is equal to the rel vel .of the particle..or we can say rel. vel. is zero..

Discussing motion of Ball from the frame of Wedge .
Vel. of ball perpendicular to wedge = 5√3
now gravitational force perpendicular to wedge = gCos 30 = g√3/2 = 5√3
let the ball strike the wedge after 't' sec
=> -5√3=5√3-5√3t (v=u+at)
=>t=2 sec
the particle strikes the wedge after 2 sec.
