math and iit :(

Hello!

I get around 180 in the IITJEE pattern in my coaching institute.I will now seriously start preparing for the exams as there is hardly any time left.I am mainly concentrating on BITSAT and AIEEE as I find tho se questions easier.These are the books that I will be following from now on :

Physics ( my favorite ) - H.C Verma and problems from institute material.

Chemistry - NCERT,O.P Tandon for inorganic and R.C Mukerjee for physical.

Maths- Home tutor will be coming now and institute material.

I am pretty weak in math..normally I score around 40-50 in math :(...I don't understand why I don't like practising that subject..i always feel that once i know the formula its enough as i think i can solve the problems in the exam with just knowing the formula.I still dont understand how practice makes maths easier....please help!

And is reading Organic from the NCERT textbook enough for IITJEE,AIEEE and BITSAT?

And how do i improve my score ? Because i always attempt just 250-280 marks and I guess that is less..and how do i overcome negative marking?

Please reply soon and thanks!

@tormented :

I am also facing the same problems with physics......

About maths, try doing as many TYPES of sums as possible.....get hold of a good maths book and get going.....

Practice definitely makes it easier, as in IIT and JEE you never get sums which you have already done before, and solving more problems makes you more used to the tricks and quicker ways of cracking tough problems :)

Hey..I dont think reading only NCERT ( ORGANIC ) for IITJEE wud be enough..for AIEEE AND BITSAT its kind of sufficient but for IITJEE u can switch over to some gud books like Arihant. Dat wud definitely give u an edge over the other xamz as well..

if u are zero in organic u shud go for solomons rather than arihant .
solomons + notes of some good coaching institute/professor will complete your organic with ease.
