triangle with two parallel lines........

consider ΔABC,

BC as base... BAC as the vertical angle....

now if i go on increasing the angle BAC to make it very large i.e. θ→180° it will become almost parallel to BC...

then can we say that two parallel lines can form a triangle at infinity????

the problem is that triangles are defined only at finite points...

actually it will form the plane on one side of the line BC..

so it will be the semi-plane if u would like to call it that... not a triangle!

basically u could say that on one side, every single point will be a inside the triangle in the infinite case...

oops... actually this will be when we extend the point to infinity...

for ur quesion sky.. this will become a line.. which will be coincident on BC!!!
