I m presently in class 10 and will b joing a reputed coaching institute from 8th april (for IIT-JEE) which is of 4 1/2 hrs and held 4 days a week. and my school demands 80% attendence so here goes my question
shud i change my school and join a dummy school?
11go to a good school it is important for overall confidence and ur company and atmosphere will be good that way( i changed )
ur school timing is relatively very short compared to mine( mine was 9am to 4pm just imagine :))
school time is fun dont miss that particularly at a good school

24well i didnt go to school becoz there was no atmosphere to study there...........except 7-8 students(who are really good) rest of them were just useless guys........
the teachers were good but were pure CBSE type.......not at all innovative......never thoughtful....[2][2]
so i remained at home and studied............i hope it was a good choice,,,,,,,(will come to know about that on 12th april)

i had taken jus 10 days leave and in that around 5 days cos i got jaundice
In chennai everybody goes to school daily and are rewarded for 100 percent attendence !!!
62When I was in School, a very reputed one.. I used to think the same.. But my school was ok becasue i managed with just 37% attendance.
If you can stay back at home and work really well.. then I dont think it is very necessary to goto school. But then I have added that rider.
Moreover, It would depend on your school

and especially if u are a house captain( if want to remain healthy enough to give jee [4])
1NEVER JOIN A DUMMY SCHOOL.... if ny1 asks u about ur school, i.e., in which school do uread, the name of the school sets ur standard in front of that person.......
also, if ur school demands 80 % attendence, that means, the school has some standard,
and that is the only place where u can improve ur personality coz teachers will improve u, while, in dummy college, u will not go and, so u may not get sm basic gud things as well as personality skills...
in a college, no 1s gonna teach u dat, but if u r not perfect, they r juzz gonna make fun of u.........itz juzz 2 years left of ur school life.........enjoy them.......gud luk

In my opinion dont go to school ...........it is a sheer waste of time..........
I joined a govt school which demanded 80% attendence but in my two years my attendence hardly crossed 20% mark.............
in 11th it was 18% and in 12th it was less than 10%.........though in register it wsa written 90% and 88% respectively.......[9][9]

school is imp for some relaxation....wasie bhi its the alst 2 yrs of school life...(mine attendence was 94% i enjoyed school...)
and they are just fooling you of 80%
if its CBSE it is 75%
and in 11th going school is no problem and in 12th after Nov or so they finish school.. so 75% till Nov is needed as form is filled then and when form is filled they at that time see 75% attendence...
They don stop any one for giving boards.. unless u have 40-50% attendence...
also some doctor prescribed leave is there.. so contact a dummy doctor instead.. :P
3my coaching classes were abt 5.15p.m and my school will be over by 4.20 pm in most of the days.It takes for abt 20minutes for me to go to my house from my school and abt 5.0 mintues to my institutute.So I lost my school life and also i have no time to relax so this spoiled my jee preparation.
1haha.............this is funny........reminds me of my days ......I had coaching at 4.... and my school ended at 2 40......i used to go directly widout goin home ..........JUST IMAGINE.........and i used to return at 8 in d night to home............
So from morning 7 30 to 8 i was outside d house......AND dont miss school.........its d best thing in a student's life.....ITS FUN.....

i had some 89% attendence... jo 11% nahi gaye... usme bhi panch din ghar lautke aaye coz very few were present in the class ...
11some people r less focussed on IIT JEE rather than they give boards priority

GO TO ANY PLACE IF U TARGET IIT , AND U R DESPERATE 4 IT
U WILL FIND EVERYTHING (BOTH TUTIONS & SCHOOLS )HELPFUL IN BUILDINING UR CONCEPTS[1]
33School not imp for boards.. bcause boards to aise bhi ho jaega if us study between boards gap...(given u prepared for entrances..)
Bur school is imp for overall development...(remaining in home doesnot do that good...
And most imp it shoild depnd on U.. what U like... not on others advice....

33Then in between school and going coaching no time to study.. jsut 1/2hr -45 mins for doing some School HW ..(if u like to do those.. :P) :(
So u will have 1-2 hrs at night.... on 3 days..(1 day if u bunk school)
and rest 4 day u will have enough time... don worry about timing and school work as it is problem of every student....
1no its from 4pm and i'll have to leave at 3pm to reach on time
1my school timings r 7 to 1:30 and i'll reach home by 2pm
33waise bhi 4 days a week gives you 3 says in week ....
and 1 day a week if u bunk school... it can be helpfull.
aslo it depends on timing of school....
mine was jsut till 7-12 (4 sometimes 5 periods only..)
