2) you can do it by usual mot. but theres a trick (not really since it is derived from mot only) for 14 electrons bond order is 3 .as you move to the right/left by 1 elec. bond order decreases by 0.5 (this works only upto certain)

so since N2 2- = 16 elec => bond order = 2
