@govind...if we dont cram the ans....and think logically..it should be a calcium compound naa ????becoz teeth contain calcium and toothpaste is supposed to strengthen them

The bitter fact in chem is that u may not get the answer by applying logic..especially in inorganic chem...if u know a particular thing then it's fine..otherwise it's better to leave the question...

@eureka123, calcium compounds are also used in toothpaste....calcium carbonate is used as an abrasive in toothpaste.....this is also given in ncert.
