2) I2 can't oxidise F- , Cl- and Br- . this follows frm the result dat the lower element ( in molecular state) in Gr-17 can't oxidise its higher element in the group ( in ionic state ).

F- can't be oxidised by I2 , Cl2 or Br2.similarly , Cl- can't be oxidised by Cl2 or Br2 and Br- can't be by I2.

3) judjed on the basis of lattice energy. more lattice energy cn overcome the hydration energy of the compound to enhance its solubility.

4) actually, KClO3 will be oxidised by I2, thus either KClO4 or KIO4 cn be formed. if we consider a transition reaction then KClO3 disproportionates into KCl and KClO4 and on reaction wid I2 ,the displacement rkn takes place forming KIO4.

5) as eure said , IF7 cn be formed. also , none of the other elements given in the options cn be furthur oxidised.

6) as the bond strength of HF is too high to break and F- is very hard to be oxidised.

7) ClO4- is the most stable among the four options given.
