hey...why aren't we considering translational motion of hoop??????????Is it fixed???????[12]
I dont think so!!!![1]
try it sankara....

no da the hoop is not fixed

sankara ...just apply the conservation of angular momentum !!

GUYS !..and the picture is upside down !! (if u want the answer as v/3r)

otherwise we cant apply conservation of angular momentum !!

have u got the ans sankara or not???

but this is not given in question!!!!!!!!!
The question states that a circular uniform hoop rests on horz surface....

so how can we consider that????[12]

@ unique........ the picture is perfectly correct!!!!!!! u can conserve ang. momentum about any point .... since there is no external torques abt any point!!!!!!!
NOTE THE WORDS SMOOTH HORIZONTAL PLANE!!!!!!!!! SO UPSIDE DOWN OR NOT ITS THE SAME NOTE SYMMETRY!!!!!.......DUNNO WAT MADE U SAY THAT!!!!

so CONSERVIN ABOUT CENTER mvR = (mR^2 + 1/2mR^2)ω .........

ω = 2V/3R..................
