Discs collision

3 identical discs A,B,C rest on a smooth horz surface.Disc A is set into motion with speed u after which it experiences elastic collision simultaneously with B and C.Distace b/w centres of B and C prior to collision is n times the diameter of disc.Find velocity of A after collision.For what value of n will the disc stop,move and recoil

and for it to move ull get a range of n values!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!apart from the value for which it stops but note it cant go beyond 2!!!!!!

then they wont even collide[3][9]

or u can mathematically say that the sin inv x is defined for x frm -1 to 1 and if n>2 then

u can see that the value inside sine inv in the expression in the last line left side of my scanned page will exceed 1 so its not defined!!!!!!!!!![2]

and evidently not below zero[3]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
