Assuming 200 MeV of energy is released for fission of Uranium atom , find the number of fissions per second required to realease 10 kilowatt power.

no. of fissions = 104/200*1.6*10-19*106
= 3.12*1014

what's the answer?

anirudh yaar 200 MeV is given but u took only 200 eV in the denominator.
u have to take 200 x 10 6

Also probably one fission gives 3 neutrons, and each is capable of further fissions and emits 9 more neutrons(3 each ).

so may be ans will be different....
