given,
n1 = 1.5
n2 = 1
R= 20/2 = 10cm
u=  40cm
v =?
thus,
n1/u + n2/v = (n1 n 2) / R
1/v  1.5/u = 11.5/ 10
1/v =  1/80
v= 80cm
which is the image distance
placing a prism in front of the sphere won't affect the image distance
