[H+]=10^{-8}
[H+]w=10^{-7} thus, total H+ions =10^{-7}+10^{-8}=1.1\times10^{-7}
taking -ve log of both sides, pH=6.958

At 25°C

[H+]*[OH-]=10-14

if x gram-ion/lit is [H+]from water

then (x+10-8)*x=10-14

x=9.51*10-8(more accurately)

hence total conc.=9.51*10-8+10-8

hence pH=-log(1.051*10-7)=6.978

here common ion effect is too small to be considerd......

common ion if not considered will give a PH >7 ..

and its impossible since it is an acid..
