Bonding difficulties

1)Is Hg-Sb bond a polar or a non-polar?.Explain your answer.
2)Which of the two molecules, OCS and CS2 has higher dipole moment and why?
3)The species that do not contain peroxide ions are: (a)PbO2 (b)H2O2 (c)MnO2 (d)BaO2 (Explain the meaning of the ques as well as how to derive to the answer).

THATS ALL FOR NOW.THERE'S MORE TO COME.PLS BEAR WITH ME.

CS2 will have zero dipole moment.

This is because it is a linear molecule and has symmetric placement of S on both sides of Carbon.

OCS is also linear but will have some dipole moment because of difference in electornegativity of oxygen and sulphur.

Mercury and antimony have very very close electronegativity values.

So the bond will be predominantly non-polar.

H2O2 and BaO2 are the two peroxides.

Peroxides are genearlly formed only by Group 1 and 2 elements only..

This does not mean that they are not formed for other elements!
