How do we find out whether a particular compound is better oxidising/reducing agent in alkaline or acidic medium?
for eg ,
SO₂ is more powerful reducing agent in an alkaline medium than in acidic medium.
how do we know this ?
is it something related to EÂ° value of this reactions?
plz explain

yes. .. no other method of knowing other than E^o values. .but u might wanna remember general order of oxidising / reducing power
