why there is unimolecular layer formation in chemisorption ???????

dude,its not necessary that a layer formed in chemisorption is unimolecular but rather physisorption forms always a unimolecular layer. in chemisorption,perhaps it will depend on the reactivity of the adsorbate.

in chemisorption usually unimolecular layer will be observed becoz the additional adsorption layers occur only to some limited extent=> the additional layers are very weak..
