okie if u guys cant read wat ive ritten ............

FIND C[HEAT CAPACITY] FOR THE SYSTEM IF THE NATURAL LENGTH OF THE SPRING = LENGTH OF THE CYLINDER .........

MONOATOMIC GAS IS ON THE OTHER SIDE ............... THE SIDE WITH SPRING HAS NO GAS ..... AND ALL SURFACES ARE THERMAL INSULATERS!!!!!!!!!!

here let the compression in spring be x then we have

P=kx V=Ax

dQ=nCdT=nCvdT+x0∫xkxAdx

we have

nCdT=nCvdT+Ak(x2-x02)/2 =

but PfVf=nR(T+dT)=Akx2
PiVi=nRT=Akx02

nCdT=nCvdT + (nRdT)/2

C=Cv+R/2=2R
