think like this... does he whole 2piR2 surface recieve equal amount of energy ?

NO..

only the point directly facing sun recieves the whole energy..

other points receive parts of it ..

the area receiving sun radiation is clearly half the surface area of Neptune...so....why dont we take,...2Î r2
