quadratics ( donno if its in jee)

The coefficients a and b of an equation x2+ax+b = 0
and its roots c and d are four different numbers. Given a, b, c, d in
some order, is it possible to determine which is a and which is b?

product of two numbers of the given list is one of the number of the given list, and addtion of the same two numbers is the negative of the fourth number of the list

this is more of a commonsense type prob

note as a,b,c,d are diff
following applicable
now a+c+d= 0 ( a+b+d or other possible pairs can never be 0 as it would imply c=b etc )

find which three nos add to 0 the remaining one is b

u know b=cd ( b is never equal to ad and others as it would imply c=a etc)

now find pair cd the remaining one is a
