f(x) = x/ (1 + |x|) is :

a) diff for all x.

b) diff for all except x=0.

c) conituous for all x.

d) cont for all x but not diff at x=0.

am getting a and c ....

it is continuous at all x...

bcos both the numerator and deno are continuous..

and deno is not equal to zero!

now for differentiablity we have to see f(0)

f(0) = 0

f'(0) = lim h->0 f(h)-f(0)/h

= lim f(h)/h
h->0

= lim 1/(1+|h|)
h->0

hence ur answer is correct :)
