Actually, the concept of organic chemistry was developed many years ago. Anything that came out of organisms were considered special and that they could not be created artificially. We do not exhale CO, so its not organic... but, CO₂ is also not organic as it can be developed artificially, or rather, it could be developed artificially when the concept of organic chemistry came into being....
