confusion

Yesterday on 26|12|10, there was a question in FTRE...

If x2 - y2 = 101, where x and y are natural numbers. Then x2 + y2 =?

There were few options... I don't remember well but, one of them was
can't be determined....

What must be the answer.....!

factorize to get
(x+y)(x-y)=101
giving x=51 and y=50

u r forgetting that 101 used be a prime number...

so the factors are 101 and 1 only...
