Why does a porter, carrying a heavy load on his back, bend forward?

If the load is too heavy then, in terms of physics to make himself in equilibrium (transnational & rotational) he has to bend forward. In other words you may say that Center of mass of man and Load should pass through the reaction force applied by earth else..porter wont able to balance and fell down.
