A car and truck start from rest at same instant, with car being a little behind the truck. The truck and car has a constant acceleration of 2.2 m/s2 and 3.5 m/s2 respectively. the car overtakes the truck when it(truck) has moved 60 m. Find
1. time taken by automobile to overtake truck.
2. how far was the car behind the truck initially?
3. Speed of each during overtaking.

1. S= 12at2 since u=0;
→ 60=0.5*2.2*t2
→ t= 7.39 seconds.

2. For car,
     v=at since u=0;
→ v=3.5 * 7.39
→ v= 25.85 m/s...

So, v2=2aS since u=0;
→ 25.852=2*3.5*S
→ S= 95.45 m

Therefore difference= 95.45-60 = 35.45 m (Ans.)

3. Speed of car already calculated in the previous part.

Speed of truck = at = 2.2* 7.39= 16.25

So,
car= 25.85 m/s
truck= 16.25 m/s
