Is it related to archimede's principle???

Ya....it deals with buoyancy...so far i got it....

by wt we mean its apparent wt i.e its wt in air.the density of feathers being much less than that of iron the volume of 1 kg feathers is much larger than that of 1 kg iron.so feather displaces much larger volume of air & experiences much larger upthrust.hence apparent loss of wt sufferred by feathers due to buoyancy of air is much larger than that sufferred by iron.so in vacuum due absence of upthrust the scale will tilt towards the feathers.
