An inductor coil joined with a 6 V battery draws a steady current of 12 A. This coil is connected to a capacitor and an AC source of RMS voltage 6 V in series. If the current in the circuit is in phase with the emf, the rms current is
(a) some data is missing (capacitance, frequency etc)
(b) 12 A
(c) No current
(d) None of the above

i think no current will flow..............becoz it is an LC circuit with AC source ..so some phase diff b/w emf and current is reqd.........
plz confirm ans sky.......[1]

this is from which paper??????[7][7]

b) 12 A

well it think we get R=0.5ohms
then we're given that the current is in phase ,separating the inductor as ideal inductor + resistor , so , w.k.t the ckt is in resonance , so net impedance is only due to r. so I=12A

hopefully this's correct

well it think we get R=0.5ohms

Y??

thats ωL .. not R..

initially there was inductor coil and that was drawing a steady current..

But initially there was a DC source... so ω=0

So it has to be resistance in the wires... R=0.5 Ω
