guys , griffiths is the book that i am using for my second sem .....
honestly i dont believe its a good book for +12 level
u will have to do first the math 1 course ,that includes concepts like gradient of a vector field , fundamental theorem on gradients , green's theorem , stokes theorem ,etc etc ....
to understand whats der in griffiths
I will strongly recommend you to use HC Verma , and Resnick Halliday .....
and to solve sums of higher concepts u may use I.E Irodov
can seniors and teachers suggest a good book specifically for electrostatics like irodov is for general physics

yes.. Just get DC Pandey (Arihant) Elecrticity. It has good collection of some mind blowing problems.

For a problem book in Physics Arihant is the best.I am having it.The level of problems is 4 to 7 times higher than some very hard past year IITJEE problems. These are Brain storming problems.

If you really want to read very good stuff...
the book i like best is Irodov theory of electrostatics....
It is a very thin book but some notations may go over your head...

for IIT JEE use either HCV or the oldest version of Resnick Halliday (the one without walker or crane)
