The direction of the current density vector is same as the direction of electric field.

sir ,direction of electricfield is from higher potential 2 lower potential but e-s move frm lower 2 higher with some driftvelocity by
→ →
J=n*lql*Vd

so direction is same as drift velocity It's correct?

well, current is not only the flow of electrons...in electrolytes positive ions also move. In general the current density is given by
\vec{j}=\rho_-\vec{v}_- +\rho_+\vec{v}_+
Here, \rho_-,\ \rho_+ are the charge density of negative and positive charges and v_-,\ v_+ are their drift velocities.

sir It's for semiconductors but my ques is about conductors

Dharun, what kaymant sir said is valid for conductors aswell it is the general expression of current density!!

Is positive ions move in conductors?

there can be extra +ive or -ive ions.

so it is the general expression.
