1.Positive charge Q is distributed uniformly over a circular ring of radius R.A particle having mass m and a negetive charge q,is placed on its axis at a distance x from the centre.Find the force acting on the particle and its time period if it is released.(Assume x<<R)

this give electric field at distance x from the centre

now force =E*q

as x<<R so F=KQxR3
where K =1/4∩ε0

thus time period =2Π/ω

and ω u can calculate from force

i.e force constant k=KQR3

T=2Î √km

=2Î √(KQR3/m)
