ELECTROSTATICS SIMPLE QUESTION --> BUT I'M HAVING A CONCEPT CLASH :

Q: Two charges of charge +2q and +q have masses m and 2m respectively. They are kept in a uniform electric field and allowed to move for the same time. Find the ratio of their kinetic energies :

My doubt is to whether to use KE=qV formula [ cant we say that E=Vl for both charges ?..why/whynot ? ] which gives me answer=2:1 OR to use KE = 12mv2 formula which will give me ans=16:1 ??? I'm really confused..[17]

we all know that work done = change in kinetic energy

as it is a uniform electric field...V=E.d

now d is not same for both the charges as mass n charge is different
so V will be different...

also u have done a mistake while applying K.E=1/2 mv^2
m is different in both casas

from both methods ratio comes out to be 8:1
