KE of the shell

A Large spherical shell(radius r, charge q) rotating with angular velocity is placed in gravity-free space, having uniform magnetic field, suc that its direction is perpendicular to the axis of rotation. If the mass of shell is "m", find the maximum kinetic enrgy of the shell.

hey b555,
just want to confirm the method...

c the shperical shell can be considered as infinite rings, each of which acts as a magnetic dipole...due to its charge and the process of being rotated

so v can calculate the total magnetic dipole moment (let pm)

the PE of the dipole is pm X B ...
by energy conservation same is KE ???
