Equilibrium doubts

I have certain queries in equilibrium-
1.Why equilibrium cannot be attained in a open container?
2.What is effect of decreasing pressure on the position of equilibrium?
3.What are the units of Kp & Kc?

1]equilibrium cannot be obtained in a open conatiner because by equilibrium we mean no visible change in macroscopic quantities and rate of forward rxn being equal to rate of backward rxn. but this is not possible in a open conatiner as matter and energy can be exchanged there

1.
If the container is open then there will be interference from the surrounding and even mass excange therefore there will be continuous shift of equilibrium point which will not lead to a equilibrium

2]effect of pressure is different in different cases.

if no:of gaseous reactants is equal to no: of gaseous products, then
there is no effect of pressure

if no:of gaseous products in more than no:of gaseous reactants,, then equl would shift in forward direction on decrease of pressure and in backward direction on decrease of pressure.

and in no: of gaseous products in less than no: of gaseous reactants, then on increase of pressure equilibrium shifts in forward direction and on decrease of pressure it would shift in backward direction.

3] units of kp and kc depend on the reaction. they are not always the same.

if x is the difference between no:of gaseous products and reactants, then we have

kp=(atm)^x
kc=(mol/litre)^x

2.
The effect of pressure depends on the change of moles from reactants to products
If moles of reactant > moles of products
Then increase in pressure will facilitate forward reaction while decrease facilitate the backward reaction

If moles of reactant < moles of products
Then increase in pressure will facilitate backward reaction while decrease facilitate the forward reaction
