SIMPLE Q

IN THE REACTION 4NH3+5O2→4NO+6H2O WHEN 1 MOL OF AMMONIA AND 1 MOL OF O2 ARE ALLOWED TO REACT THEN
{A}1 MOL OF H2O IS PRODUCED
{B}1 MOL OF O2 IS CONSUMED
{C}1 MOL OF NO IS PRODUCED
{D}1 MOL OF NH3 IS CONSUMED

hey.. ASHISH i think you are wrong here.. just see my sol

from the reaction it is notable that
4 moles of NH3 requires 5 moles of O2
hence 1 mole of NH3 requires 1.25 moles of O2( which is unavailable)
hence O2 is the limiting reagent(coz it requires 0.8 moles of NH3 which is available)

hence only B is correct.isnt it?
(coz 0.8 moles of NO &1.2 moles of H2O are produced)

NOTE: IF I AM WRONG PLZ CORRECT ME

Yes
Since O2 is the limiting factor. 1 mole of ammonia will not be consumed instead 0.8 moles of ammona and 1 moles of O2

The Since 5x is 1 mole here therefore no other copound expect for oxygen will be 1 moles.

Therefore the correct ans is B)1 mole of O2 is consumed
