one question

guys i really wanted a question answered [1]
if the orthocentre and circumcentre if a triangle coincide...ij it necessary that the centroid also coincide...[1]
and if yes then with whowm....ortho or circummm

wud really help me ...thanx in advance

Yes because if both these points coincide, the triangle will be an equilateral traingle....
And then all these three points will be the same!

really thanx sir!!!...really appreciate the help...but i am still a bit confused...with whom is it coinciding...orthocentre or circumcentre

I could try to give u a more detailed explanation....

See the perpendicular from the vertex to the base will pass through the orthocenter. Also, you could note that the perpendicular bisector of the side will pass through the circumcenter. More over both these lines will be parallel. So they have to be the same lines! because these parallel lines are passing through the same point.

This holds for all the three sides. Thus the traingle is equilateral! For an equilateral triangle the ortho, circum, incenter and centroid are all the same. so they are coincident with each other.....
