x=A\sin (\omega t+\phi ) \; \Rightarrow v= A\omega \cos (\omega t+\phi ) \;

K.E= \frac{Mv^{2}}{2}=\frac{M\cos ^{2}(\omega t+\phi)}{2}=\frac{M(\cos(2\omega t+2\phi)) }{2}

thus K.w has twice frequency .
